Privacy Policy
Last updated 10 August 2026 · Solar Review Corp (also operating as FixMy.Energy), San Diego, California
This policy explains what we collect when you use fixmy.energy or become a customer, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do about it. It describes what we actually do — not a generic template.
Who we are
Solar Review Corp is a California-licensed solar service contractor (licences B, C-10, C-39, C-46) operating in San Diego and Southern California. You can reach us at info@fixmy.energy or (619) 777-6527.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details — name, email address, phone number.
- Property information — the service address, and details about your solar system such as its age, equipment, original installer and utility.
- What you tell us — the message you type in a form, and anything you discuss with our team.
- Photos and documents — images of your equipment, meter or utility bill that you upload or send us.
- Payment information — if you pay online, card details are entered directly into Stripe and never pass through or get stored on our servers. We keep a record that a payment was made and its amount.
Information collected automatically
- IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and the site that referred you.
- Advertising parameters — if you arrive from an ad, we store the campaign identifiers in the URL (
utm_source,utm_medium,utm_campaign,gclid,fbclid) and the page you landed on, so we know which advertising actually produces customers.
Cookies and tracking tags
We use Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4, Google Ads conversion tracking, and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel. These set cookies and similar identifiers used to measure site performance and to show you our ads on Google and Meta platforms after you visit.
How we use it
- To respond to you, schedule an evaluation, and perform the service you asked for.
- To contact you by phone, text message and email about your enquiry, your appointment and your job.
- To prepare a diagnosis, proposal and pricing for your system.
- To take payment and keep the records a business is required to keep.
- To measure and improve our advertising and our website.
- To meet legal, tax, licensing and warranty obligations.
Automated processing and AI tools
We use AI services to make our operations faster. Being specific about this matters more than a vague sentence:
- Photo sorting. Photos of your equipment are sent to Anthropic's API so they can be automatically labelled (inverter, main panel, meter, utility bill, and so on) and checked for image quality.
- Call and visit notes. Where our team uses the built-in note-taker, a summary of the conversation is produced by an AI service and saved to your record. We do not record or transcribe a call without telling you first and obtaining your consent, as California law requires.
- Equipment analysis. Model and serial details from your system may be checked against manufacturer service bulletins and public sources to identify known faults.
No automated tool makes a final decision about your service or pricing on its own — a person reviews it.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where it is needed to do the work or run the business:
| Who | Why |
|---|---|
| Installation and service partners assigned to your job | So the crew that comes to your property has the address, site details and scope of work |
| Supabase | Database hosting for customer and job records |
| GoHighLevel | Customer relationship management, scheduling, and sending our texts and emails |
| Stripe | Card and bank payment processing |
| Netlify | Website and application hosting |
| Google & Meta | Analytics, advertising measurement and retargeting |
| Google Maps Platform | Address lookup and satellite imagery of the property |
| Anthropic | Photo categorisation and note summarisation, as described above |
| Resend | Transactional email delivery |
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, to enforce our agreements, or in connection with a sale or reorganisation of the business.
Text messages
If you give us your mobile number, we may text you about your enquiry, appointment or job. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. Opting out of texts does not remove you as a customer — we will call or email instead.
How long we keep it
We keep customer and job records for as long as needed to service your system, honour warranties, and satisfy tax and legal record-keeping obligations — generally at least four years after your last job, and longer where a warranty or a legal requirement calls for it. Enquiries that never become jobs are kept for up to three years and then removed or anonymised.
Your California privacy rights
California residents may ask us to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you and where it came from.
- Delete the personal information we hold, subject to records we are required to keep.
- Correct anything inaccurate.
- Opt out of the sharing of your information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. To make a request, email info@fixmy.energy with the subject line "Privacy Request", or call (619) 777-6527. We will verify your identity using the contact details already on your record and respond within 45 days. An authorised agent may make a request on your behalf with written permission.
To opt out of advertising directly with the platforms, you can also use Google's Ads Settings, Meta's Ad Preferences, or enable Global Privacy Control in your browser.
Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access controls limiting it to staff and partners who need it. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This site and our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be posted here before they take effect.
