Terms of Service
Last updated 10 August 2026 · Solar Review Corp (also operating as FixMy.Energy), San Diego, California
These terms apply to your use of fixmy.energy and to the services Solar Review Corp provides. By using the site or booking with us, you agree to them.
Who we are and what we do
Solar Review Corp is a California-licensed contractor (licences B, C-10, C-39, C-46) providing solar system evaluations, diagnostics, repairs, inverter replacement, monitoring setup, and battery installation and retrofits in Southern California. We service systems regardless of who originally installed them.
The free evaluation
- The evaluation is genuinely free. There is no fee to book it, no fee to attend, and no fee if you need to reschedule or cancel.
- It takes roughly an hour. An adult who is on title for the property must be present so we can access the equipment and discuss findings.
- Booking an evaluation places you under no obligation to buy anything.
- We will need safe access to your electrical equipment. We do not enter a garage, side yard, attic or roof without being invited to do so.
- We may decline or stop an evaluation if conditions are unsafe.
Estimates, proposals and pricing
Any figure discussed before a written proposal is an estimate only. Pricing depends on the condition of your system, equipment availability, roof and electrical conditions, and permitting. Nothing is binding on either of us until there is a signed written agreement setting out the scope and the price.
If work begins and we find a condition that could not reasonably have been seen beforehand — concealed damage, undersized or unsafe wiring, an unpermitted modification — we will stop, tell you, and agree a change in writing before continuing.
Incentives, rebates and utility programmes
The same applies to estimates of production, bill savings or payback. These are projections based on the information available at the time. Actual results depend on weather, your consumption, utility rate changes and equipment performance, and will differ.
Equipment warranties
Solar panels, inverters and batteries carry warranties from their manufacturers, not from us. Where your original installer is no longer trading, we can often help you make a claim under a manufacturer warranty that is still valid — but whether a claim is approved, and what it covers, is the manufacturer's decision, not ours. We do not assume the obligations of any prior installer, dealer or finance company.
Our own workmanship warranty, where one applies, is set out in your written service agreement.
Payment
Fees, deposits and payment schedules are set out in your written agreement. Online payments are processed by Stripe; we never receive or store your full card details. Where a surcharge applies to a payment method, it is disclosed before you pay. Payments are due on the terms in your agreement, and unpaid balances may be subject to interest and collection costs as permitted by California law.
Your rights to cancel a home-improvement contract under California law are stated in that contract and are not limited by these terms.
Scheduling and access
We will give you an arrival window rather than an exact time. Weather, permitting, utility scheduling and supply can move dates; we will tell you as soon as we know. If nobody is present for a scheduled service visit, we may need to reschedule.
Using this website
Content on this site is provided for general information about solar equipment and repair. It is not engineering, legal, tax or financial advice, and should not be relied on as a diagnosis of your specific system. Do not attempt repairs on your own solar or electrical equipment — it carries lethal DC voltage even when the grid is off.
You agree not to misuse the site, attempt to access areas you are not authorised to use, submit false information, or scrape or copy its content for commercial purposes. Site content, branding and materials are owned by Solar Review Corp or its licensors.
Manufacturer and installer names are used to describe the equipment we service and are the trademarks of their respective owners. Using them does not imply those companies endorse us.
Contacting you
By giving us your phone number or email address you agree we may contact you about your enquiry, appointment and job by phone, text and email. You can opt out of texts by replying STOP. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by California law, Solar Review Corp is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost production, lost savings or lost profits. Our total liability arising out of a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, personal injury, or anything that cannot be limited by law — including your rights under the California Contractors State License Law.
Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California, unless your written service agreement provides otherwise. Complaints about a licensed contractor may also be directed to the California Contractors State License Board.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised terms. The terms of your signed service agreement always take precedence over anything on this page.
