San Diego homeowners we evaluate are losing $50–$200/month without realizing it. We repair, diagnose, and upgrade solar systems installed by any company — including SunPower, Sunrun, and companies that have gone out of business.
Fast diagnostics, honest answers, and real solutions — upon qualification, some services have no cost upfront through available subsidies.
The installer moves on. Solar Review stays. Whether a system isn't performing, needs an upgrade, or it's time to add battery backup — this is the team Southern California homeowners call.
Every major brand and inverter platform is covered across all Southern California utility territories.
Under original Net Energy Metering rate terms storing the energy you produce is far more valuable exporting it to the grid during strategic times of day, utilizing Virtual Power Plant features. Solar Review retrofits Tesla Powerwall 3 onto any existing solar installation and upon qualification, some homeowners pay $0 out of pocket using incentives.
Enter your home's details below and Solar Review will estimate your potential monthly savings and environmental impact from adding battery storage.

Rates are rising. Installers are closing. The rules changed. Here's what's happening — and what it means for your system.
The average San Diego household now pays nearly $200/month for electricity — over 6x what the same usage cost in 2009. A new "Base Services Charge" added in October 2025 means you're paying more regardless of how much you use. If your solar system isn't performing at full capacity, you're absorbing every cent of that increase.
SunPower filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in August 2024 — shutting down customer service, the mySunPower app, and warranty support. Sunnova and Titan Solar followed. Over 500,000 homeowners were left without support nationwide. If your installer is gone, your system still works — but you need a new service partner. That's exactly what we do.
Since April 2023, new solar customers earn dramatically less for power sent back to the grid under NEM 3.0. If you were installed before that date, your NEM 1.0 or NEM 2.0 rate is grandfathered and worth protecting. If you're on NEM 3.0, battery storage now makes more financial sense than ever — you keep your solar power instead of selling it cheap.
With peak rates above 45¢/kWh and NEM 3.0 reducing export value, storing your solar energy is now worth far more than sending it to the grid. A Tesla Powerwall 3 pays for itself faster in San Diego than almost anywhere in the country. California's SGIP rebate program can further offset the cost — and we handle the whole installation.
